In October 1998, Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton first Lady of the United States of America visited PAIN D'OR, where she presided over a Round Table Conference "The role of the woman entrepreneur and the challenges she meets daily". We are very proud of what Mrs. Clinton said about our factory:
"I've never been in a cleaner and a better-smelling factory."

On 29.01.2003 the United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Anan launched the Global Compact Initiative of the United Nations. Mr. Antoine Iskandar was invited to deliver a speech. For more information about the initiative please visit:



PAIN D'OR takes part in many other events and activities organized by UNDP.





HRH the Prince of Wales honoured PAIN D'OR by presenting the Code of Ethics of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum, a branch of Prince Charle's International Business Leaders Forum, on March 13th 2003, to the Executive Director Antoine Iskandar.



As a member of BBLF PAIN D'OR is an active participant in the initiatives organized by the Bulgarian Business Leader Forum committed to the basic principles of business ethics.

PAIN D'OR participates regularly in the environmental initiatives of Sofia Municipality, as well as in socially useful causes:
- Sofia spring cleaning
- Maintaining and asphalting the streets in the neighborhood

The company supports the Breast cancer initiative and takes part and in its annual activities.



PAIN D'OR takes an active part in the International Women Club activities, as well.


In May 2002 during the visit of Pope JP II the President of PAIN D'OR, Mr. Iskandar, met His Holiness.
